So.. Sunday the 25th, I was out and about with my boyfriend. We we're heading to our local Walmart in our town, I should mention I don't have a driver's license at the moment so we walk. It's good exercise but.. our town is ehh not the best. We we're about to walk in the crosswalk when a woman who was clearly not paying attention, was speeding, slammed the breaks the last minute and hit me on my left side, knocking me to the ground. I did go to the ER and got checked out. Thankfully I'm okay and well. Nothing internally is wrong (internal injuries) and no broken bones, I'm grateful the incident wasn't worse.
That woman sped off, no information was given or anything. I should have done something but.. I've never been hit by a car before so I was in shock. People like her NEED to be more aware of their surroundings when driving. I was NOT in the wrong, I had the right-of-way to cross the crosswalk.
